Mamie Lou Gross had a lot to celebrate this week! These students have shown that they know how to be respectful, responsible, and safe. MLG celebrates students of the week every Friday and once a month we celebrate our students of the month. We are so proud of each of you and the amazing choices that you are making.

Hands-on math is in full swing in 1st grade! 🔢✨

Our students became the math lesson during a lively place value activity. By stepping up to represent "tens" and "ones," they built two-digit numbers using their own bodies to see how place value really works.

10 Individual "Ones": Stood together to form a single, united "Ten" rod.

Solo "Ones": Showed how leftover single units complete the number.

Human Equations: Students worked together to call out and build target teen numbers like on the spot.

📆Labor Day Weekend Reminder!

Camden County Schools will be closed to students on Friday, September 4, for a scheduled Teacher Workday/Professional Learning Day and on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

We hope our students, staff, and families enjoy a safe and relaxing long weekend!🇺🇸

🎨 Sensory Fun in Classroom! 🎨
This week, our Pre K students dove into a hands-on learning activity to explore their Five Senses, focusing on sight and touch!
Using colorful food coloring and fluffy shaving cream, our learners swirled, mixed, and explored different textures while observing how bright colors blend together. It was a wonderful (and delightfully messy!) way to bring science concepts to life.
