Big news for Hayes Corcell ’27! 🏌️

Hayes has been selected to represent the United States at the 2026 Junior Presidents Cup, joining 11 of the country’s top junior golfers for the fifth edition of the event. The US team will take on the international team at Medinah Country Club in Illinois in September just before the Presidents Cup begins.

The renovation of Terry House is now complete, and the building is officially home to Woodberry’s new health center. Once a student dormitory, Terry has been thoughtfully transformed into a modern health center with additional faculty housing on the upper floors.

Our health services team will now have an expanded space, updated technology, and improved resources to better care for and support our students. Designed with student wellness in mind, the new space enhances our ability to deliver quality care while meeting the evolving needs of the WFS community.

Another Woodberry Basketball Camp is in the books.

Campers of all experience levels sharpened their skills, built their confidence, and learned the value of teamwork. We’re grateful for our campers, coaches, and counselors!

Woodberry Forest Football Camp 2026

For four days, Woodberry was home to the next generation of football players. Campers were brought together to compete, learn, and grow under the guidance of Head Coach Jackson Matteo, the Woodberry coaching staff, current players, and alumni. The week was defined by effort, encouragement, and a shared love for the game!

For the last three weeks, Woodberry Forest Sports Camp filled the fields and courts for another chapter in a great summer tradition on campus.

Campers spent the days competing with energy and encouragement. Join us next year for the 60th year of Sports Camp!

Campus remains buzzing during the summer. As an opportunity for middle school boys to explore, create, and grow, Woodberry Compass is a summer adventure with purpose. Last week, campers went fly-fishing on the Rapidan River, explored the Perimeter Trail, learned engineering skills, and participated in the inaugural Compass Float, all while building new friendships along the way.

The final options for the senior experience was pursuing a project centered on a personal interest.

From building a weather balloon or renovating a van to producing a book or hosting a podcast, these seniors were able to dive into new subjects, conduct research, and create something from the ground up.

The senior experience had a new twist this year with internship opportunities.

Ranging from on campus roles in alumni & development, communications, athletics, and grounds, to select off-campus opportunities, these students traded routine schedules for real-world responsibilities. They contributed to daily operations, learned from the professionals on campus and beyond, and gained practical experience during their final trimester at Woodberry.

Continuing our series on the senior experience this spring, we’d like to feature our nine seniors who were nominated to pursue a thesis project and dive deeply into a subject they were passionate about. Their research explored a wide range of topics, including philosophy, biology, Spanish, mathematics, and religious art.

These students conducted independent research, developed original insights, and ultimately defended their theses before panels of students and faculty. Their dedication, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to academic excellence earned them academic distinction upon graduation.
