Even the most well-intentioned leader will eventually fall short of measuring up to the expectations we have of them.

Every day, leaders have their own struggles to navigate - health issues, money issues, relationship issues, etc., just like you.

Leaders are human after all and even a leader with the best intentions and a beautiful, compassionate heart will have days when they cannot be everything for everyone. Nor should they ever be expected to be everything for everyone.

We tend to elevate a teacher or elder to an ideal place in our mind. We seek to be like them rather than to be our most perfected self. It is better to walk your own path imperfectly than attempting to walk another's path perfectly.

Build your own beautiful life. 👏👏👏

I honor the Celtic New Year, which begins on October 31, as part of my spiritual path. There's no hard core reason for this except that it always feels right to my body and my soul.

Right now, I am leaning into the shorter, cooler days and giving myself permission to let the dark season begin it's healing, restorative work.

This is a liminal time in so many ways, so I see merit in standing between the realms to energetically support the changing seasons, the changing world and the changing epoch as a new age is ushered in.

I love this photo taken by Solaris at Sollie Photography. It reminds me of Hecate who carries her torch everywhere she goes to bring light into the dark and liminal places.

Don't fight the natural flow all around you, beautiful soul. Instead, flow with it, vibe with it and allow it to bring you healing.

Pretending the grief isn't there, that your heart isn't breaking, doesn't make it go away. In fact, it sticks around and continues to accumulate until it is so much that you cannot possibly hold it anymore.

All of those denied and closeted emotions you have not processed need somewhere to go or they will eventually manifest as an emotional crisis, personal upheaval, nervous breakdown, depression, physical illness or even spiritual awakening.

It is wise, beautiful soul, to process those difficult emotions in a healthy way before a crisis point occurs...and your spirit doesn't break.
