These 11 Wonewoc-Center students had a great day at the UW-Platteville High School Choral Festival! They learned some beautiful repertoire, sang alongside students from UW-Platteville and other area high schools, and made some new friends along the way.

There’s something pretty special about a choral festival. Students walk into a room surrounded by people they’ve never met, and by the end of the day, they’ve listened to each other, worked together, and become part of something bigger than themselves. Every voice matters, but it’s when all of those voices come together that something truly special happens.

Very proud of these students for representing W-C so well, and so glad they had the chance to be part of such a lovely day of music!

📚✨ A Magical Reading Opportunity! ✨📚

To celebrate the upcoming Harry Potter TV series, Scholastic donated 100,000 copies of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to students in grades 3–5.

The Juneau County Health Department will be here on Friday, October 23rd, for a student Flu shot clinic. Students will need an Influenza Vaccine Consent Form filled out to receive the vaccine. Students will NOT receive the vaccine if they do not have a form completed. Forms will be coming home with students and will also be available in the school office. For questions about the vaccine or vaccination clinic, please contact the Health Department at 608-847-9373.

🐺💚💛 TEACHER OF THE MONTH – SEPTEMBER 💛💚🐺
We are excited to recognize Michael Schwichtenberg as our September Teacher of the Month!

Michael hit the ground running this school year, stepping into a challenging role with the late addition of the intensive services program and many moving pieces and unknowns. Despite the challenges, Michael has handled every situation with grace, patience, and positivity.
His fellow staff members shared so many wonderful things about the impact he is already making:
💚 Michael has jumped into a challenging position with hard work, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.
💚 He is continuously looking for ways to improve his classroom and meet the individual needs of his students—even with very little time to prepare before the school year began.
💚 His ability to handle difficult situations calmly and thoughtfully sets him apart. Rather than focusing on the challenges, Michael focuses on finding solutions and doing what is best for his students.
💚 And through it all, Michael continues to show up with a smile and a willingness to do whatever it takes to support his students.

Michael, thank you for your dedication, flexibility, hard work, and unwavering commitment to your students. Your positive attitude and solution-focused approach make a difference every day, and we are so proud to have you as part of the Wonewoc-Center team!

We are excited to recognize Chad Rick as our September Support Staff Member of the Month!

Chad was nominated by his fellow staff members, who shared so many wonderful things about the impact he has on our school community:

💚 He is always quick to jump in and get the job done whenever someone needs something.
💚 He is dedicated to keeping our building looking great while also making sure it is a safe place for our students and staff.
💚 When someone asks for help, Chad is always willing to stop what he is doing and solve the problem.
💚 He is constantly helping wherever he is needed and goes out of his way to make sure things are working well throughout our school.
💚 He brings a positive and uplifting attitude to everything he does.
💚 He worked hard all summer long to help get our school ready for another great school year!

What a fun day of celebrating our Wonewoc-Center Wolf Pack! From the energy and school spirit at our Homecoming Pep Rally to the excitement of the Homecoming Parade downtown, our students, staff, families, and community showed up in a BIG way!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday so special — our students, staff, families, local businesses, community members, and everyone who came out to cheer us on!

The focus for SEPTEMBER is an outstanding start to the year. This recognizes a student who has made an exceptional start to the school year by demonstrating a positive attitude, consistent effort, responsibility, and a willingness to learn.
