Alumni have continued to make their way back to campus this fall, and while some visits bring back old memories, others offer a chance to catch up on everything that’s happened since graduation!

Blaise Kilroy ’14, a former Brewster hockey player, returned with his girlfriend to revisit campus and catch up with Maria Found. After Brewster, Blaise continued his hockey career at both the Division II and Division I levels before moving into coaching, serving as head coach of the Pennsylvania Huntsmen and assistant coach of the West Chester Rams while maintaining a career in sales.

Rose Sheerin ’26 stopped by this past weekend while home from her first semester at Clemson University, reconnecting with faculty and friends still on campus. John Schmidt ’60 also paid a visit, camera in hand, following a distinguished career that included 36 years as a Senior Audio-Visual Engineer at ABC and 9 years running his own business before finally retiring in 2022!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to welcome our alumni back to campus, celebrate where their journeys have taken them and see the ways they continue to lead lives of purpose beyond Brewster!

If you ever pulled an early morning practice, you know the sunrise over Lake Winnipasaukee never gets old! Our crew team caught this stunning sunrise during this mornings practice, and we have Kendall '29 and Emery '27 who made sure the rest of us did not miss it.

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve enjoyed visits from Bobcats spanning generations.

Lindsay ’26 and Bridget ’26 returned to campus and found their senior bricks along the new walkway beneath a beautiful sunset. Barry Morgan ’67 made his first visit back to campus since graduation. A Wolfeboro native and former Brewster hockey player, Barry reflected on his time at the Academy, including his memories of walking to school each morning no matter the weather. Joey Schmidt ’25 also stopped by campus and caught up with Mrs. Proulx, Mrs. Cornwell, and Mrs. Yau.

From recent graduates to Bobcats returning nearly six decades later, we’re grateful for the alumni who continue to find their way back to Brewster!

From the first tee to the final putt, here is a look back at Monday’s Bobcat Open! It was a wonderful day on the course, made possible by the many people who continue to show up in support of our students. Thank you to everyone who played, bid in our live auction, participated in the raffle, volunteered their time, and helped make the day one to remember.

We are especially grateful to the 35 businesses and organizations whose generosity supported this year’s tournament, with special thanks to our presenting sponsors, Synchrony Financial and Eastern Propane, for their leadership and support.

Due to the forecasted nor'easter and concerns about strong winds and potentially hazardous conditions on Lake Winnipesaukee, Brewster Academy has made the difficult decision to postpone the Winni Chase Regatta scheduled for Saturday, September 26.

The safety of our competitors, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators is our first priority. We are working to reschedule the Winni Chase for May 2027 and will announce the new date as soon as it is confirmed.

Thank you to our participating teams, sponsors, volunteers, and the Wolfeboro community for your understanding and continued support.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the lake this spring!

What a beautiful day for the Bobcat Open! To our golfers, alumni, families, friends, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who helped make today possible, thank you for showing up for Brewster and helping create opportunities for our students.

The funds raised from today's event directly benefit student scholarships, helping make a Brewster education possible for more students. We are especially grateful to our 35 sponsors for their generous support and to Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club, our Varsity Golf team's home course, for hosting us and running such a seamless event.

We hope to see more of you, our alumni, out on the course next year!

Next Saturday, September 26, Brewster will host the fourth annual Winni Chase Regatta on Lake Winnipesaukee! More than 500 spectators are expected to join us as crew teams from across the Northeast take on the 4,500-meter head race.

Racing begins at 7:30 a.m., with crews launching from the Pinckney Boathouse and racing along the shoreline toward Worcester Island and back. Organizers have worked with the Town of Wolfeboro, the Chamber, and Marine Patrol to ensure a safe and fun morning for everyone. The Wolfeboro Town Docks will remain open, but a no-wake zone will be in effect in part of the Bay during the three-hour race.

Want to watch the action? Spectators are welcome to park on campus at DeWolf Field and watch from Palazzo Field or Brewster Beach off Clark Road. Throughout the weekend, Wolfeboro will also be hosting the Town’s Annual Fall Festival and Sidewalk Sale, Wolfeboro’s Flower Festival, and Wolfeboro’s Great Pumpkin Hunt.

Bring a chair or blanket and settle in for a morning of racing, then be sure to stick around town to enjoy all the weekend has to offer!

During a three-day trip to Wolfeboro, Peter Mann was joined by his longtime college friends to visit the Peter Mann Gathering Spot on the Rogers Patio overlooking Brown Field and Lake Winnipesaukee.

The group first met in 1971 and has continued to gather nearly every year since. This year, their time together included a visit to the space that honors Mr. Mann and his lasting impact on Brewster. For 28 years, Mr. Mann served Brewster as a teacher, advisor, house parent, and mentor. He challenged, inspired, and cared for generations of students, leaving behind a legacy that continues to be felt across campus.

We’re grateful Peter and his friends took the time to return to Brewster, reflect on their 55-year-long friendship, and see the place that now carries his name.

Opening Week brought plenty of new faces to campus, but we were just as happy to see a few familiar ones amidst all the excitement.

Aaron Avellar ’18 stopped by to see the newest updates to campus and catch up with his favorite physics teacher, Mr. Lui, while Jack McGowan ’16 stopped by on a drive through Wolfeboro, getting the chance to see Mrs. Yau. Although not pictured, David Cummings ’02 also made his way back to campus, spending time in his favorite spot on campus, the Climbing Barn!

Thank you all for taking the time to come back home to Brewster! We loved having you back. Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat.

We'd like to give a huge congratulations to the 2026 Arthur Morris Kenison Faculty Award winners (Brewster's highest faculty honor)! Math teacher Bill Ward has received the Kenison Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, and world languages teacher Nikita Duling has received the Kenison Faculty Award for Career Growth. We thank them both for being inspiring and devoted members of the Brewster community.
