Alumni have continued to make their way back to campus this fall, and while some visits bring back old memories, others offer a chance to catch up on everything that’s happened since graduation!

Blaise Kilroy ’14, a former Brewster hockey player, returned with his girlfriend to revisit campus and catch up with Maria Found. After Brewster, Blaise continued his hockey career at both the Division II and Division I levels before moving into coaching, serving as head coach of the Pennsylvania Huntsmen and assistant coach of the West Chester Rams while maintaining a career in sales.

Rose Sheerin ’26 stopped by this past weekend while home from her first semester at Clemson University, reconnecting with faculty and friends still on campus. John Schmidt ’60 also paid a visit, camera in hand, following a distinguished career that included 36 years as a Senior Audio-Visual Engineer at ABC and 9 years running his own business before finally retiring in 2022!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to welcome our alumni back to campus, celebrate where their journeys have taken them and see the ways they continue to lead lives of purpose beyond Brewster!

How can teachers inspire deeper thinking and more meaningful learning? Brewster faculty Doug Goodale, Margarita Proulx, and Jonathan Browher explored that question at a recent Project Zero conference in Jersey City, NJ.

Today we welcomed Laura Tenenbaum, an award-winning innovator and leader in the fields of science and climate change communication to campus to share her perspective on STEM equity and why science belongs to everyone.

Laura encouraged students to rethink what it means to be a scientist, reminding them that curiosity, resilience, creativity, and a willingness to learn are just as important as natural ability. She also connected with students in Biology and AP Biology classes, answering questions and bringing her perspective directly into the classroom.

At Brewster, we believe diverse thinkers are essential to solving the challenges of tomorrow. Thank you, Laura, for inspiring our students to see what’s possible.

Earlier this week, Brewster celebrated its fourth annual New Hampshire Day! This special Head of School Holiday gives students the opportunity to step beyond campus and experience the natural beauty, outdoor adventures, and local culture that make New Hampshire such a special place to call home.

From hiking Bald K**b in Moultonborough and taking on the mountain coaster at Gunstock Mountain Resort to exploring the waterfalls and trails of Flume Gorge in Lincoln or enjoying lunch, shopping, and sightseeing in Portsmouth, students had the freedom to choose their own adventure and make the most of a day exploring the Granite State.
