Mrs. Yeoman's Chem 101 students learned the chemistry behind the baking of chocolate chip cookies.

Instead of using cups to measure supplies out, they used grams. They were learning how accuracy and precision in measurements make the best cookies. They also had to take the total mass of the dough and make sure each cookie weighed the same amount. After baking they had to measure each cookie to see if they were the same size and explain why some cookies were a different size then others.

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, the Tri County Culinary Students used the skills they have been learning during class and applied them to a real world experience.

They provided the guests of the Harvest Dinner with proper food serving techniques, creating an enjoyable and relaxing evening of food and fellowship. Awesome job kids!
