If you are a mama who loves coffee you should definitely grab the one I’m sporting today! I love it and it’s so soft and comfy! The message behind this is something I think we can all get behind! Recently we’ve seen how communities can come together to support each other! I’m hoping for the same! It recently came to my attention that the snack bin in my child’s classroom is frequently empty! Parents are asked to provide a snack for 16 students one day a month if they can do so. It’s been a hard year on us all and understandably not all are able to do so! This wonderful teacher has been buying snack out of her own money for her kids because that’s what they are... her kids!
As a teacher, I’ve bought snack for my kids! I’ve been there- when your students are hungry you buy the snacks! It’s what you do because any child in your classroom is your kid! They don’t teach you that at Geneseo, but the good ones know you do everything in your power to make your kids feel safe and loved! These students have been treated like her family since before school started! She consistently goes above and beyond for her kids!
So if you stuck with me this long and you’d like to thank a teacher and feed first grade tummies that get hungry from all the hard work they do- I’m trying to gather up enough snacks for a whole month for her! LET’S FILL THE SNACK BIN!
How can you help? Snacks need to be individually wrapped and store bought! If you can provide 16 perfect! If you can provide 5 perfect!!

A little evening art from their advent calendars! We love a good painting project just peep how much paint they have of that style which is maybe half of our stash!

One tradition we do in our house is life size gingerbread people! We grab some paper that we’ve saved over the year from random packages, the kids lay down and get traced, then they use anything they’d like to decorate their person! This year we traced farmer bear too!

Meet our newest family member! Sir snappy the Venus fly trap! He’s a great bug catcher and science lesson!! The kids can’t wait to put him in his new pot!

We decided to get into some counting today! We love a good holiday theme! We grabbed these free printables from preschool play and learn! We also used some of our sensory bin materials to make our whip cream to count with. This is a great fine motor, counting, and number sense activity since your preschooler will be seeing a physical representation of the number they are making!

Part of becoming a SAHM meant leaving the world of teaching! I decided to put together a Jingle Bell Sensory Bin with printables! Q has been a big help on the farm lately, sooo when mommy needs to make room for her pork order- Q gets the last bit of ice cream for “lunch”!
