🎉🦅 THE WAIT IS OVER!!! 🦅🎉

Today was finally the day our Woden Elementary Eagles got to explore our brand-new, newly upgraded playground! 💛🖤

The excitement has been building, and our kiddos have been buzzing all day long! A huge shoutout to Mrs. Castledine and our playground crew for going above and beyond to create a space that is not only exciting and fun, but thoughtfully planned with student safety, movement, and exploration in mind.

And, of course, the kids had plenty to say! 😍
💬 “Today we got our new playground and it’s amazing!”

💬 “The new seesaw is so cool!”

After all that waiting, watching, and wondering… our Eagles finally got to PLAY! 🛝💛🖤

🦅💡 GT Exploration: Building, Thinking & Teamwork!

Mr. Loera’s GT students took on a fun engineering challenge: build the tallest free-standing tower using only paper and tape! 📄🧻📏

This challenge was about so much more than building a tower. Students had to work together, strategize, problem-solve, test ideas, and think creatively as they figured out how to make their structures stand on their own.

After the challenge, students reflected on their designs by asking:
🔹 What worked?
🔹 What didn’t work?
🔹 What would you change?
🔹 What materials or strategies would you use differently next time?

We love seeing our GT students think outside the box, learn from their mistakes, and turn a simple challenge into an opportunity for deeper learning! 🧠✨

It’s was a great day to be an Eagle! 🦅💛🖤

🚨 FIRST DAY ALERT… THE EAGLES ARE BACK!! 🦅💛🖤

What a GREAT first day at Woden Elementary! We loved seeing our Eagles back in the halls, learning, laughing, and making memories! Here are just a few highlights from our day:

🦅 5th Grade kicked off the morning with our pledges! 🇺🇸

📚 Kindergarten jumped right in and began learning those important procedures and routines!

💬 2nd Grade got to know one another through fun Turn & Talks!

🏫 Our Admin & Office Staff worked hard behind the scenes to help make sure our first day was a success!

🎨 Mrs. Smith is bringing some fun, new, and exciting things to our Fine Arts program this year! We can’t wait to see what’s in store!

👟 Mrs. McClellan introduced our Kindergarten & 1st Grade Shoe-Tying Club! 🤩🤩

✨ “I Wish, I Wish for a Great School Year!” — Mrs. Anthony’s class started the year with a little magic and their very own magic bracelets! ✨

And this is just the beginning… What a wonderful year we have ahead! 💙🦅

We’re excited to welcome our Eagles back! To help our first week run smoothly and safely, please take a quick look at these reminders:

• Pre-K Drop-Off: Elementary Gym

• See the attached map for drop-off and pick-up locations to help minimize traffic on 226.

Elementary Drop-Off: Thank you for helping your child start the day with confidence! Parents and guardians are asked to drop off @ the front Elementary entrance and allow students to walk to their classrooms independently. Our staff will be ready to welcome and assist students.💛🦅
