The Council of Social Concern is having a Back to School event. There will be fun things for children to do and they will be giving out backpacks to children who are entering Kindergarten through Grade 5. Satuday August 19, 10am-1pm.

Come join us for our back-to-school event to soak up the last bit of summer fun. We will have face painting, glitter tattoos, free snacks, a canned food drive, and a backpack giveaway (while supplies last)☀

We are looking for two ESOL evening teachers for the fall!
Come and make a difference in people’s lives! The YMCA ILC Woburn has been helping immigrants learn English and develop employment skills to improve their lives for over 24 years. We need 2 dynamic evening teachers to support new immigrants to this country. Our Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) funded program is a highly rated adult ESOL program which offers both morning and evening English classes to a diverse group of adult English language learners.

Congratulations to the first class of our Culinary Class! They attended 8 weeks of Culinary and ESOL classes. They all received Servsafe Certificates as well as several others. This class is free to ESOL students who would like to learn the basics of the culinary industry and earn certificates and English. We hope to be offering again in the fall.
