Another congratulations is in order today! π₯³
One of our preschool teachers, Miss Inez, is graduating today - earning her associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. We're so proud of the hard work you've put in, and your dedication to furthering your knowledge of the field. Our kiddos are so lucky to experience your passion for helping them reach their greatest potential in their crucial years of development π

Our classrooms are beating the heat with some unique, process-driven art projects π§π»βπ¨π¨
While everyone loves the cute little handprint art projects (they do make great mementos!), process art is backed by research to be better for a young child's development. Process art is encouraging the child to explore and create in their own ways - there's no right or wrong way to make art - rather than having them focus on creating a specific outcome (aka product-driven art). Process art allows the child to build cognitive, physical, and emotional skills through encouraging choices, experimentation, and self-expression.
Our teachers added some extra fun twists to these art projects - offering dinosaurs instead of paint brushes and challenging our older kids to lay on the floor and create art from underneath the tables. Check it out! π

A HUGE congratulations to our Pre-K teacher, Miss Savana, on her graduation today - she's earning her Bachelors Degree in Social Work! π
Juggling college courses, an internship, and working is no easy feat - but you did it! We're all so proud of the work you've put in, and so thankful to have such a wonderful example for our students. Great work! ππ

Today, we recognize all of the wonderful Mothers and those who have taken on a mothering/caring role in their lives. We see you - we see how hard you work, how you balance all the directions you're pulled in every day, and how you keep everyone's daily schedules running smoothly. We hope today you can enjoy some relaxation, surrounded by lots of love (and coffee). π

πΆ Hey now, you're an all star! πΆ
LEAP Childcare has a team of all stars for sure!
As our teacher appreciation week celebrations continue, our board of gratitude has been filling up. Families and students have been sharing notes of why they love L.E.A.P. and their teachers.
If you ask me, early childhood educators have one of the most important jobs ever - they're quite literally building the foundation for children's futures during the most critical periods of development. While making sure our students are prepared for kindergarten with their knowledge of letters, numbers, writing, and so much more, they're also providing a nurturing environment for our students to feel safe in exploring new adventures, knowing that it's okay to make mistakes, and allowing their imaginations to run wild. Our educators are teaching the academics that are expected, while incorporating the social skills, problem-solving skills, and confidence they'll need to grow into strong, caring, and productive members of our community.
Now, that's an all star π
