Most parents look you up before they ever pick up the phone. If they can't find you, that tour never gets booked.

CACFP pays per qualifying meal. Most centers find out weeks later, off a spreadsheet, once the claim is already in.

Nine in the morning. Your Green room: two teachers, four children.

You are over ratio, and nobody standing in that room has a free hand to do the arithmetic.

Every platform says it. Almost none of them will write down what it means.

Before you switch anything, ask for it in writing:

What actually moves? Children, families, balances, documents, immunisation records, attendance history - or only some of those?
How long does it take, in days?
Who does the typing, you or them?
What happens to the invoices already out when you cut over?
Do you run both systems for one billing cycle, and who pays for that month?

If they will only answer on a call, that is the answer.

Switching childcare management software is the single scariest thing an owner does, and reassurance is not the same as a commitment. Ask for the commitment.

How much is your center owed right now?

Not last month's revenue. The money that is still sitting unpaid this morning.

Most directors have to go and add it up. In MyKidReports it is already on the screen:

- The billing dashboard shows revenue, upcoming, past due and your average invoice, side by side
