We’re so excited to see everyone!

A couple of reminders:
- if your child plans to climb on the climbing tower, please have them wear close-toed shoes.
- we are accepting cash at the merch table for memberships and purchases so please bring cash if that is your preferred method of payment.
- we will be serving ice cream courtesy of Sweet Escapes & Treats but will have Flavor-Ice pops as an alternative for those who have allergies or dietary restrictions

🎒 Back-to-School Series - Day 10 ✏️

❇️ NEW - ParentSquare ❇️

The Walled Lake Consolidated School District is transitioning to ParentSquare for Districtwide communication. Families will receive school and District communications through ParentSquare, including important announcements, school news, reminders, and emergency notifications.

ParentSquare makes it easy to stay informed by delivering messages through multiple channels, including:

📧 Email
📱 Text message (SMS)
📞 Phone calls
📳 Mobile app notifications
💻 The ParentSquare website

Activate your ParentSquare account:

Your school will send you an invitation using your email address or phone number on file.

Open the invitation from ParentSquare in your email or text messages.

Click Activate your account or tap the link to go to the account registration page.

Enter your email or phone number, then click Get Started. (Optional: You can also sign in with Google or Microsoft.)

Check your contact information. If it looks correct, click Confirm. You’ll receive a code by text or email.

Enter the verification code when asked.
You’ll see your children’s names. Click Confirm next to each child who should be connected to your account. If a child is listed by mistake, click Not my child.
If everything looks correct, click Yes, this is me.

If you haven’t already, download the free ParentSquare app for iOS or Android, or log in at www.parentsquare.com.

*If you are not interested in downloading the app, rest assured you will still receive updates from the District and your school community via email.

🎒 Back-to-School Series - Day 8 ✏️

🚌 NEW – My Ride K-12 App 🚌

Bus route information is available as of August 14.

Beginning this school year, Walled Lake Consolidated Schools will use the My Ride K-12 app for all transportation notifications and updates. Parents/guardians will need to have the My Ride K-12 app in order to receive important information regarding their student's transportation.

Please note: The Transportation Hotline will no longer be used for transportation updates.

Directions for downloading and setting up the My Ride K-12 app can be found on the District's Transportation website. Visit the Transportation page and scroll down to the “My Ride K-12 App/Website Setup” section for complete instructions.

Families who use District transportation are strongly encouraged to download and set up the app before the first day of school so they don't miss important bus updates.

Teacher Placement:

The date to release teacher placement was changed. It will now be Friday, August 21st at 4:00 PM.

Parent Square:

If you have not already done so, please activate your parent square account. This is the district's new communication platform. If you are not signed up, you will not be able to receive important communications. I will be moving away from this platform after this week. You should have received an email from Loon Lake Elementary inviting you to activate your account.

Meet & Greet:

Our meet and greet will be on Tuesday, August 25th from 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM. PTA will host the popsicles on the playground from 3:30 PM- 5:00 PM

Did you know that our PTA has a Linktree? This is one of the easiest ways to stay informed about PTA happenings. We do our very best to keep our Linktree up-to-date with the most important information for our community.

Here are just a few things you can find in our Linktree:

🛒 Links to all of our PTA Goodies (Merch, Birthday Grams, etc).
💙 Ways to appreciate LLE Staff (favorite things lists, amazon wishlists, etc)
🎫 Event information and important links
🤝 Volunteer Info (sign-ups, criminal history form, instructions, etc).
💡Always on: Lunch/Breakfast Menus, Newsletter, Safe Snacks, Meeting Minutes, and links to subscribe to the PTA Calendar (iCal & Google).
