Montana Camp ALWAYS delivers! 😎

We love returning to and working with our friends at and all of our incredible local coaches and volunteers. They drive from hours and hours away to make the day special for our campers.

And Saturday was *definitely* special because not only did we have multiple first-time skiers who were diagnosed the last few months, we had a camper who hasn’t missed a Montana Camp in 10 years at his last camp!

We seriously LOVE this community of people, we LOVE skiing and snowboarding and WE REALLY LOVE CAMP! A special thank you to our partners who volunteered on the mountain and participated in our great parent session!

We always like to say Riding On Insulin operates rain or freeze or shine as long as the lifts are running. …And then there was one time (Saturday) that our host mountain’s lifts were not running due to lack of snow, and we still carried on!

Although we were disappointed to miss out on skiing and riding, our friends at REACH welcomed us to the Weber State Campus for a day of hiking, rock climbing, parent education and (of course) a goggle design contest! 🖼️

This crew didn’t miss a beat. When people living with T1D come together, it’s always a special experience, and this weekend was no exception!

Our Midwest campers are a hearty bunch! Today was SO FUN.

We shifted our Wisconsin camp to start a bit later, and we ended at 5pm instead of 3:30 — temps hovered between -9° and -1° all day at … but did we still have a blast? YES! Best day ever 🙌

It’s all about adapting to the weather, bundling up, taking breaks as needed, and covering up all exposed skin! Nothing holds this crew back 🤙
