Welcome Kloey Daliege to Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools! Kloey is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and will be teaching 4K Special Education at Pitsch Early Elementary. She enjoys snow skiing, watercolor painting, hiking, traveling, sourdough baking, and Pilates. We are excited to welcome Kloey to the WRPS family!

Please be aware of the closure of Gaynor Avenue westbound beginning today until the end of October for all traffic to the Wisconsin Rapids Area Middle School.

Gaynor Ave
Lane closure will occur in the westbound lane of Gaynor Ave, between the round-a-bout and 27th Ave S, due to the Interceptor Sewer Project by the City of Wisconsin Rapids contractor, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026 and is expected to re-open at the end of October. The eastbound lane of Gaynor Ave will remain open. Westbound traffic on Gaynor Ave will be detoured onto 17th Ave S, then onto Carey St, then onto 29th Ave S, then back onto Gaynor Ave.

Please join us in welcoming Grace Maschmeyer to Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools! Originally from Winnebago, Illinois, Grace recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and is joining Washington Elementary as a 5th grade teacher. She is excited to stay in the area and begin her teaching career with WRPS. Outside of the classroom, Grace is a big Packers fan and loves to cook. She is especially excited to teach 5th grade because it was her favorite year when she was a student! Welcome to the WRPS family, Grace!

2026 George Martin Hall of Fame Inductee: Scott Benitz

The Wisconsin Wrestling Association is pleased to announce our next 2026 George Martin Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee in Scott Benitz. Scott's career as a coach has been nothing short of remarkable, and includes the following highlights noted within his nomination:

His leadership and strategic vision led to remarkable success, with an overall record as Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln head/co-head coach of 461-69. Under his guidance, teams consistently excelled, winning:
• 14 Wisconsin Valley Conference Championships as a head coach
• 24 Wisconsin Valley Conference Championships as a head or assistant coach
• 9 State Team Championships as head coach
• 17 State Team Championships as head or assistant coach

Scott's coaching excellence has been widely recognized. He was named WWCA Assistant Coach of the Year twice and earned the distinguished 2005 State Coach of the Year and 2005 NFHS Region Coach of the Year honors. His commitment to both individual and team success has set the standard for excellence in Wisconsin.

Congratulations Scott on this well earned recognition!

Please welcome Peter Aspros to Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools! Peter is a graduate of UW-Stevens Point and will be teaching Physical Education at Grove and Woodside Elementary Schools. He also coaches football and track and field at Lincoln High School. We are excited to have Peter as part of our WRPS team!
