Good luck to Chris and Malia. These two Mid-State SkillsUSA students were doing their thing competing in the culinary competition. This is the first time for Mid-State in this category. We will know their results along with the rest of the Mid-State team at closing ceremonies April 26 in Madison.

10 days from today 5 members of the Mid-State Technical College SkillsUSA chapter will be traveling to Atlanta for the National Leadership and Skills Conference. Brittany Beahm will be competing in Criminal Justice, Dawson Taylor in CNC Milling, Callie Luebke in Welding Sculpture, Jakob Struble in Related Technical Math and Ryan Ganser in CNC Technician. Good luck to all, you represent Mid-State and our chapter very well.

It’s that time of year, our chapter raised money and was able to purchase over $700 in toys for the annual Toys for Tots campaign. Great job to the members of Mid-States SkillsUSA chapter.

So proud of the Mid-State SkillsUSA competitors. In a difficult year and virtual contests for student competitors, our students took home 7 medals. Gold medals in CNC turning and Welding Sculpture. Silver medals in CNC Milling, Precision Machining and Diesel and heavy equipment. We also earned Bronze medals in Precision Machining and the 3 person Welding Fabrication team. I am so proud to be a associated with this group of students.
