On August 23rd, Immanuel Lutheran Church installed Gracie Kelley and Robyn Ritter as teachers. God has blessed Immanuel with the addition of these two teachers to our staff. May God bless the work as we stay “Rooted in Christ” for the 2026-2027 school year.

Today was the 20th Golf For Kids-Kersten Classic. There were 27 teams that played at Bullseye Golf Club. David Kersten was a blessing to help organize this event for many years. Reata Kersten was the driver behind the scenes to support the golf outing. The Kersten legacy continues today as their daughters Nicole and Krista along with many other family members participated in this golf outing. Congratulations to the winning mixed team of Tyler Dove, Brayden Dove, Laura Walker, and Randy Walker. Congratulations to the mens winner Jere Trudeau, Tom Huber, Dave Nimtz, and Jeff Rasmussan. Thanks all for your support to Immanuel Lutheran School.

The Immanuel Lutheran School Cougar Basketball Camp is in full swing this week! Students are learning skills and getting extra practice to improve their basketball skills. Go Cougars!

Parents and students gathered in the hallways to watch our 8th grade students take their last walk through Immanuel’s hallways. Our graduation ceremony will be held this evening at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

To our 8th graders, as you use the gifts and talents you've been blessed with, remember the words of Colossians 3:2 to set your minds on things above. May your life be a light that reflects God’s love to the world.

Last week, our 5th grade class made solar ovens out of pizza boxes. The ovens were placed outside in the morning and filled with graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. After recess, students checked their ovens and were excited to see melty and delicious S’mores waiting for them! Thank you Italias, Romanos Too for providing the pizza boxes!

On Friday, our students got to move ahead for the afternoon to the classrooms they’ll be in next year! Our kindergarten class even got to meet our new 1st grade teacher, Ms Kelley!

Our 4th graders received a visit from the Winkler family! Sara and her parents were here to visit and have ice cream sundaes.

Our service learning focus in 4th grade has been on people with disabilities. We learned earlier in the year how much Sara loves unicorns and watching kids play outside! It was a blessing to have them come again and visit with the class.
