Winthrop Public Schools is thrilled to announce the appointment of Brian Curley as the Interim Assistant Superintendent of Schools/Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Accountability, as well as the appointment of Nathan Lamar as the Interim Principal of Winthrop Middle School, effective July 1, 2026!

Our 8th graders are off to a fantastic start on their Washington, D.C. trip! Yesterday the group departed WMS bright and early at 6:15 a.m. Before heading to the ballpark, students enjoyed some free time exploring Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. After taking in the sights and having some fun, they made their way to the game to watch the Baltimore Orioles take on the Seattle Mariners.
One of the highlights of the day? Our students even made it onto the Jumbotron!
