📚 Learning Letters in Kindergarten!
Last week, we had the opportunity to visit Ms. Shatford’s kindergarten class as students practiced their early literacy skills!
Students were reviewing the letters k, g, t, and d, which they had previously learned through the Lively Letters program. As part of the lesson, students sorted pictures into pocket charts based on the beginning sound of each word.
For example, a student who selected a picture of a kite would say the word aloud, identify the beginning /k/ sound, and place the picture in the “k” pocket chart.
It was great to see our kindergarten students actively engaged in building their letter-sound recognition and early reading skills! 📖⭐
