Classroom in Bloom Classroom in Bloom's mission is to inspire children to grow healthy food and connect with nature!

By being involved with the garden, young people experience the satisfaction of working with the soil. Through an evolving curriculum, Classroom in Bloom is enriching teachers' existing curriculum by providing students with hands-on, real-world experiences that give them new perspectives on their classroom lessons. In turn, students experience the joys and frustrations of the whole cycle of caring for the land and producing food - from soil building to planting to reaping the sweet harvest of their efforts, and finally returning the organic waste back to the soil.

All smiles at the 4th Grade Farmers market! Last Friday was a huge success! Through cloudy weather, nervous laughter, and some stumbling-to-make-proper-change MVES 4th graders knocked their farmers market out of the park!

Big thank you to parent volunteers, board members, and community members who came to buy produce and/or help prep for this event. We couldn't do it without you.

September was a whirlwind! School is back in session, the garden is full of life, kids are harvesting, celebrating, selling & learning about whats growing in the soil. September felt like a month of COMMUNITY! 🫜🥕🧑‍🌾🐝 Thank you to those who love and support Classroom in Bloom! Along with the busyness of the month, came the magnitude of impact that our work does -- More kids eating vegetables, supporting local food systems, and learning about how to care for the land.
