WSPA is growing, and so isn’t our amazingly talented and caring team!
Join us in welcoming Janis Walker!
Miss Janis co-taught with Miss Alicia this past season, having the pleasure of working with many of our younger dancers within the studio.
Janis has earned a bachelor’s degree in dance pedagogy at Dean College along with a minor in psychology. Janis has completed an internship at the Boston Ballet School working with children ages three to eight, teacher assisting in the Ballet and Arts Exploration program in partnership with the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. This internship provided the experience connecting multiple facets of art into one program to give children a well-rounded experience.
Janis teaches with a student-centered approach while helping children to develop their creativity which can be used in many facets of life.
She carries a passion for collaborating with students to give them a well rounded education in the arts, which she believes is important in life, arts related or not.
Miss Janis loves being a part of WSPA and looks forward to continuing to see the growth throughout each stage, excited to foster that through her own classes this season.
