We are so excited for this upcoming school year ❤️💛
As we gather steam for back to school, I wanted to share some important events and information.
The “Back to School Pool Party” at Mingo pool is August 13th from 6-8 PM. Come join us for some food and fun before school starts.
Cross Creek Elementary’s staggered start for students in grades kindergarten thru 4th grade is August 24th through 26th. These days provide a great opportunity for our students to take preassessments that provide them with a head start and set them up for success for the school year.
Additionally, this is an opportunity for parents to drop off school supplies, see the building, receive busing information, and meet your student’s teacher. Teachers will send a letter with the date and time for this appointment. If you are unable to attend this, please contact the office at 740-264-1691 and we will try to accommodate.
The first full day for students in kindergarten through 4th grade is Thursday, August 27th. Drop off times are from 8:20-8:40 for all car riders. School starts at 8:45 for our students. It is important to be here before this time. Pick up time for car riders is 3:00-3:30. There will be a similar process for parking as last year. We suggest that you come around 3:15. This is usually a great time to get in and out quickly.
Preschool parents, there will be an orientation on September 2nd. Your student’s teacher will send a letter with the specific time for their classroom orientation. School starts for preschool students on September 8th. The drop off time is 8:20-8:40 and pick up time begins at 2:45 for car riders in the back of the building. Your student’s teacher will have further details during the orientation.
We will have our “Highly Regarded” Leadership Night on September 23rd from 3-6 PM. This night provides a great opportunity for families and teachers to observe their students' leadership capabilities. The first few weeks help to build capacity in our students to demonstrate their ability to lead throughout the building and within their classroom. This night is not called “Open House” but is indeed an open house for all families to observe-learn-appreciate the hard work their student has done to become a leader.
I am looking forward to another fantastic year with our students, as well as continuing to build great relationships with their families. As routines become familiar, the processes will become smoother and more efficient. We appreciate your support with supporting our students.
CCE is the place to be!
