💚🎉 IT’S 4-H WEEK! 🎉💚

This week, we’re celebrating 4-H and the incredible opportunities it provides for youth right here in Madison County!

4-H Week is a time to celebrate what makes 4-H special — the people, the experiences, the projects, and the memories that make 4-H a place where youth can learn, grow, and belong.

Through 4-H, youth have the opportunity to:

🌟 Make new friends and build connections
💡 Try new things and discover new interests
🛠️ Learn by doing through hands-on projects and experiences
🗣️ Build confidence and strengthen communication skills
🎯 Set goals and develop leadership skills
🐄 Explore projects ranging from animals and agriculture to STEM, cooking, photography, art, woodworking, and so much more
🏆 Challenge themselves and celebrate their accomplishments

🧁 COOK ALONG WITH US! 🥒

Join Madison County Extension for our Nourish & Flourish Virtual Cooking School on Thursday, October 29 at 5:30 PM!

We’ll be making Zucchini Chocolate Chip Muffins using a recipe from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach’s Spend Smart. Eat Smart. program. While we cook, a Master Gardener will also share helpful tips on what, when and how to harvest from your garden.

✨ There is NO CHARGE to participate! Thanks to a generous grant from Landus Cooperative, both the virtual course and a convenient ingredient kit are provided at no charge to participants. Ingredient kits will be available for pickup at the Madison County Extension Office prior to the course.

We know that family budgets can be tight, but finances should never stand in the way of your child participating. Financial assistance is available to help cover enrollment fees—making 4-H accessible for every youth.
