There’s no such thing as too much love.⁣

If your babies are having a hard day,⁣
screaming, crying, and carrying on—⁣
maybe a tooth is breaking through her gummy mouth,⁣
maybe she’s having a growth spurt,⁣
maybe he’s overtired from a night of not enough sleep,⁣
maybe she has a painful diaper rash,⁣
and maybe she just wants to be held—
because sometimes their worlds make no sense to them,⁣
and their skin craves you to hold them close.⁣
⁣
So, cuddle your children into a hug,⁣
kiss them on their foreheads,⁣
pick them up and hold them,⁣
carry their hearts⁣
for as long as they want,⁣
at any age.⁣
⁣
Because there’s no such thing as too much hugging,⁣
kissing,⁣
holding,⁣
and showing you love them.⁣
⁣
Because love isn’t spoiling.⁣
It’s a gift,⁣
a blanket that drapes your children in security,⁣
and lets them come to you as they are,⁣
try things,⁣
fail,⁣
and try again,⁣
knowing you’re always there to carry them.⁣
⁣
And that’s how they’ll reach their full potential.⁣
⁣
So, love them "too much,"⁣
from the moment they’re born⁣
till you take your last breath⁣
⁣
Because they’ll feel that love even when you’re gone.

Today was a great example of why I have my preschoolers research and ask questions about the topic we are exploring. As we were weighing, measuring, and preparing our pumpkin to become a Jack-o-Lantern, we reviewed how and where they grow. All my current 4-year-olds were born right here in Central Florida. They are not accustomed to seeing farm implements driving down two lane roads or out in fields working as I did growing up so I find it even more important to expose them to these ways of life. During our cleaning of the pumpkin, we found the tag to read where it was “born.” The tag said Mouzin Brothers farms. Since I didn’t recognize the name right away, they told me to ask “Siri”—gotta love this generation!!! After we carved Jack with a surprised face (their vote, not mine 🤣), we did indeed Google the farm. Turns out their farm is in Vincennes, Indiana. I told them my friend from college, Joe, is from Vincennes! As every optimistic 4 yr old does, they immediately concluded that Joe must be friends with these brothers . I told them I would message him at nap time to find out. It seems their vote for a “surprise “ expression was spot on because no one was more surprised than I when Joe messaged back that he does indeed know the Mouzin family! My class kept going back to the computer looking at their farm pictures on their website and we even voted in their Jack-o-Lantern contest. Thank you Mouzin Brothers Farms for growing the crops we need and love—I’ve been given the task of finding a Black Diamond watermelon when they are in season.

My favorite way to learn a new letter....find its use in real life! What better way to learn V than by arranging fresh flowers in a Vase?!?! 😍. They had a blast making arrangements for Mrs. Kathy and Mrs. Karen’s room, too. 💕
