| Chi Omega Upsilon Beta Chapter- Rollins College alumna Lyndsey Lang looks back fondly at her time at Rollins College, from the friends she made to the professional opportunities that helped her become who she is now.
"I love where I am and what I’m doing now, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss Rollins. The memory of being done with classes by 10:50am MWF stands out… The words “free time” aren’t in my lexicon these days. Those four years at Rollins hold a special place in my heart.
I credit most of my growth, both personal and professional, to involvement in the FSL community. I really do, and I tell this to people all the time. Rollins is committed to developing the next generation of our world’s leaders; the opportunities provided to get involved on campus are limitless, and I took advantage. Public speaking, time management and prioritization, leadership, strategic thinking and decision making, these are all skills sharpened from the experiential learning of holding positions on campus.
To any student reading this that knows what their desired job post-graduation is, congratulations! I certainly didn’t. If you don’t, it’s okay - there’s a world of opportunity. Keep an open mind, and look for opportunities that will provide you a lot of exposure. Go get ‘em."
Lyndsey graduated in 2014 with a degree in Communications. She is a Founding Team Member & VP of Business Development Fattmerchant.
