This is good!

Bring them to church. Saturate their lives with the Word of God. Even if they lay on the floor. Even if they need 437 goldfish and a sucker to be quiet. Even if you stand in the back swaying back and forth holding them. Even when it’s hard. Even when when your row looks like a small hurricane just came through. Bring them to church. Let them see you worship. Let them see you pray. Let them see you running toward the Savior ... because if they don’t see and learn these things from you, who are they going to learn them from?

The world will teach them it’s not a priority. The world will teach them it’s okay to lay out, not to pick up their Bibles. The world will direct them so far off course, confuse them, and misinform them that just being “good” is enough. The world won’t teach them about Jesus. That’s our job.

Bring them to church.

Matthew 18:5-6 And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. Teaching kids is a huge responsibility. We must take it seriously and do it well. Prepare well, speak truth, and remember they are God’s kids first.

It is so vital for us to share our faith with our children and grandchildren. We must be speaking everyday of His work in our lives.

Psalm 145:4-5 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

Moms and Dads we have a great opportunity for your kids! These Bible Clubs are at 5 parks in the area and are happening simultaneously.

Orange City - Veterans Memorial Park
DeBary - Bill Keller Park
DeLand - Earl Brown Park
Deltona - Campbell Park & Tom Huffman Park

Each club will feature exciting stories, fun games, Water Olympics, Gospel Illusions, Candy Cannon, Big Ball Games, & Puppets!

This event is hosted by Volusia County Baptist Church.

Psalm 8:1 "O Lord our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth! who has set thy glory above the heavens."
The writer then goes on to list the things we should consider and then repeats the first part of the verse again. "O Lord our Lord, How excellent is the name in all the earth".

We have an almighty, wonderful Lord and I just want to praise His name! He is always lovingly drawing me to come closer to Him, I am so thankful.

Deuteronomy 4:39 say, "Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else."
I found this verse over 30 years ago when I was going through a difficult time with my health. I had three daughters (under the age of 5) and I was very sick. I mean months going into years before I found help. But the day I found this - it was just what I needed - He is God! There is none else. He was all I needed or would need.
Through the years this verse has continued to be a comfort when difficult situations would arise. Moses is reviewing to the people all that God had done for them - reminding them of all that God was and is!
I know some people say that those that were already homeschooling have an advantage. They do in some ways but I know things have changed for all our children - for all our mommies and daddies. Remind them of His goodness - recall times in your life when God was very close to you. His precious Holy Spirit brought comfort to you soul. Our children need to hear from us that He is God: there is none else.
