Our 2s and 3-year-old classrooms were busy exploring, creating, and learning this week! 🍃 From painting leaves and rescuing frozen leaves from the ice to spending time in our garden, our students explored nature through hands-on sensory experiences. They also strengthened their fine motor skills through playdough activities and stringing materials through a strainer. At WPDN, happy children and meaningful learning are always our priority! 💚

We’re so excited to welcome families into our newly refreshed lobby at Winter Park Day Nursery! This beautiful update creates a warm, welcoming space that reflects the heart of our school and the children and families we serve.

We are incredibly grateful to The Galloway Foundation for making this transformation possible through their generous grant. Your investment in our children and our community helps us create spaces where everyone feels welcomed from the moment they walk through our doors.

Happy First Week of School at WPDN! 🎉 We had celebrations and unlimited creativity all week. Our students and teachers were so excited to be back in our school routine, getting messy and having fun with their friends! 🎨

We also celebrated Ms. Dara’s 10-year anniversary! Thank you, Ms. Dara, for your service and dedication to our mission, students, and families. We are so lucky to have you! 💛

We can’t wait for all the memories we will make together during the 2026–27 school year! ✨

August Spotlight 💡

Ms. Denisse has been working at WPDN for over 2 years. Since starting, she quickly stepped into the 1–2-year-old classroom as the lead teacher. Ms. Denisse is not only a wonderful teacher, but also a model teacher for our staff. Ms. Denisse has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, which supports her natural talent and passion for teaching. Ms. Denisse loves creating sensory activities for her students and designing special art projects that connect to monthly themes and holidays. She is always searching for new and creative ways to enhance her lesson plans and ensure her students are making real-world connections as they learn and grow. We are so glad she is here at WPDN and are grateful to have her as a part of our school family.

We had an amazing turnout at our Meet the Teacher event this week! 🍎✨ It was such a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with their child’s teacher, meet other families, and kick off the upcoming school year together.
