What a pleasure to run into Representative Johanna López and our friends at Eatonville Chamber of Commerce Incorporated at last Friday's Coffee Night hosted by the Istanbul Cultural Center Orlando & Atlantic Institute Central Florida! ❤

We learned more how we can advocate for our local immigrant community, all while soaking up rich Turkish culture, traditions, and history over delicious Turkish coffee and snacks. ☕🇹🇷

Millions of children started home libraries because of Dolly Parton’s commitment to early literacy.

For more than three decades, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has mailed books directly to young children around the world — creating more opportunities for reading, connection, and learning.

Today, we remember and honor Dolly for a lifetime of advocacy and for the generations of young readers her vision will continue to inspire. In her words, “You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children.” We couldn't agree more. 📚❤️‍🩹

Thank you to everyone who supported our Double Good fundraiser! With your support, we raised $800 for adult learners changing their lives through literacy at the Adult Literacy League.

And how can $800 be used? Let us count the ways...$800 can pay for:
🍿6 students to take the GED exam
🍿4 months of our Zoom license for online instructors
🍿A set of textbooks for 16 different student-tutor pairs
🍿4 months of our student and volunteer management database
🍿...and so much more!

Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80. The country music legend was known for songs including “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You” and “9 to 5.” She also starred in movies like ‘Steel Magnolias’ and ‘The Best Little Wh******se in Texas’.
