By every measure, this year’s National Young Composer’s Challenge Composium at the Dr. Phillips Center was a fantastic event. Each year since 2006, the quantity and quality of compositions received has grown, as the NYCC has become recognized at the top national competitions for young composers in America. The works performed this year were among the top compositions received to date. Recordings of the six winning ensembles and five orchestra compositions are now available for you to hear on the NYCC website:
