What a fantastic evening at our Matsubayashi International Karate Hombu Dojo a very warm welcome to Sensei Don Caponigro, Sensei Mike Webb, and Sensei Kent. We are very much looking forward to Sensei Don's Seminar on Saturday at our Hombu Dojo Athlone.

So many people in the martial arts world take time out of their day to criticize and critique aggressively on posts put up by brave souls , proud of their accomplishments and wanting to share. My problem has always been …
Where are their videos showing how to do things” properly, correctly, etc.

They never ever post a video of them doing the kata or form with their response to the videos.

Don’t get me wrong… I see things posted and roll my own eyes, I may even talk to a friend about it …. But I do NOT tear someone down . I may have made that mistake and sin before.. though not likely .. but I stand by the idea that if you are going to tear down … show YOU doing it.

As we come to another weekend we would just like to say to Kyoshi Don Caponigro, welcome to Auburndale!!!

We had the pleasure of having him lead class this past Thursday and it was a true honour!

He will be with us at this time and in the in the foreseeable future and we feel blessed!!

Let us put the wording into Karate speak

Dojo creates students….

Curiosity and hard work create masters….

A grade /belt level is just a measure of how well you can follow instruction and remember .

Do not confuse memorizing the map with knowing the territory.

( There are many that are phenomenal martial artists that still do not understand the principles of the Art they study. )
