2College Durendael-Polk County Cultural Exchange

Today our students explored Amsterdam, which included the Rijksmuseum and the Anne Frank House. Our students had a blast and hated having to leave.

The final group of WHHS students have made it to the Netherlands and are already having a great time with their Dutch host.

We have said our goodbyes for now to the Dutch students and teachers. We are excited to see them all in March for our return trip. Safe travels!

The Winter Haven High School Homecoming Parade will take place Wednesday, October 22, from 5:30–6:30 PM.

A rolling closure will begin at Citi Centre and continue north on 3rd St NW, ending at Lake Silver.
Please plan accordingly and drive safely.

We wanted to inform you about a change in leadership that will be coming to Winter Haven High.
Mrs. Williams has decided to retire as principal of Winter Haven High at the end of this school year, and transition to another role with PCPS.
Ms. Williams has demonstrated outstanding leadership. We appreciate her dedication to our school’s students and staff, and wish her the very best in future endeavors.
PCPS must now begin the search for the next principal of Winter Haven High. We want to receive input from all of our school’s stakeholders, including parents, guardians, community members, teachers and non-instructional staff.
That’s why we are scheduling a stakeholder meeting on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the WHHS cafeteria.
All are welcome to attend this meeting. District officials will be present to receive your feedback regarding this search for the next principal of Winter Haven High.

Last week we hosted students and teachers from 2College Durendael. They truly had a Florida experience with Hurricane Milton. The host families did a fantastic job with showing these students around when it was safe. We can’t for our return trip in March!
