In February, I decided to shake things up a bit by throwing my hat into the ring for the school board—again. It seemed like a great idea at the time, a chance to make a difference. Then, as if my life decided to take a plot twist worthy of a soap opera, everything went sideways.
First, my family and I faced the heartbreaking loss of a miscarriage. Just when we were grappling with that, I managed to turn a simple car ride into an action movie stunt—complete with an airlift rescue and a temporary new look for my nose. Picture this: me, fashionably spending a week in the hospital, while out in the world, a news article about my school board campaign hit the stands (or screens, as it is these days).
Yeah, I've been off the radar for a bit. Hospital gowns and recovery don't exactly scream 'campaign trail ready.' But here I am, back and ready to dive into the fray. Because if there's anything these wild months have taught me, it's that life is unpredictable, but it's also filled with opportunities for growth, laughter in the face of adversity, and the unwavering support of loved ones.
So, let's get back to it. School board, here I come—nose job, battle scars, and all. Thank you to everyone who's stuck by me through this rollercoaster. Your support means the world, and together, we're going to make some positive changes. Just maybe let's keep the drama to a minimum from now on, shall we?
Side note - please follow my campaign page for more details on that!!
