Mrs. Hunt’s first graders at Plant Street spent time learning about the gift of forgiveness through Jesus. As a special reminder of this truth, each student added their fingerprint to a cross that will hang in their classroom throughout the year, reminding them that through Jesus, our sins are forgiven and we are made new!

Sixth grade science students kicked off the year with a Doodle Challenge, racing against the clock to construct a team writing gadget and complete four levels of challenges. The catch? No one could touch the marker! Students practiced communication, problem-solving, and collaboration to accomplish the goal. It was a fun introduction to a theme they’ll see throughout science this year: great things happen when we learn to work together!

What do great conversations, common ground, and index cards have in common? In fourth grade, they’re the building blocks for a pretty fun challenge!

Students in Ms. Strickland's class worked in groups to discover things they all had in common. Each shared connection earned them an index card which became part of their team’s structure.
The groups competed to build the tallest structure.

Along the way, our fourth graders practiced listening well, communicating thoughtfully, collaborating with others, and finding connections with their classmates -- the foundations of a great year!

A little garden-grown joy for our teachers!
🌸💐🌼
Ms. Walsh harvested the beautiful spring blooms from the Lakeside STEM garden, and students from last semester's Garden Club got to deliver fresh flowers to their teachers!

The new sand volleyball courts are complete and ready for action!

This project is a beautiful reminder of God's faithful provision and the incredible generosity of our school community. We'd like to thank the families who gave so selflessly of their time, talents, and financial gifts to bring this vision to life.
