It is incredibly important to learn CPR and to keep your certification current. The chances of survival increases if CPR is started immediately while you are waiting for the paramedics to arrive.
Remember, if all barriers to the pool fail the only opportunity a child has for survival utilize their swim-float-swim skills.

With all of our summer travel plans it is easy to get swept away to cool summer fun. However, having a Water Safety Summer means always being vigilant when your family is in or around water.
A Water Watcher is an adult whose sole responsibility is to keep watch over children that are in or around water. They shouldn’t be engaging in other activities such as phone calls, TikTok Videos or general conversations. There should be a rotating schedule of adults that can switch out. That way there will always be fresh eyes watching out for the little ones.
You should also make sure when you are done at the pool that you put away pool toys and any other distractions that could tempt any curios kiddos to the pool deck.
Drownings are quick and silent. So having constant and consistent vigilance is imperative.
