🍂 Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! 🍂

Today, we recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples.

Indigenous communities have helped shape our nation through their knowledge, creativity, leadership, and resilience. Their cultures and traditions continue to enrich our world today.

At SunRidge Elementary, we believe in teaching our students the importance of kindness, respect, diversity, and appreciation for all cultures.

🌎 Today, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire a future of understanding and unity!

❤️ Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day!

Rock Your School Day!

10/09/2026

Mrs. Pederson’s first grade class celebrated Rock Your School Day “Superheroes in Space” style. 🦸🏼‍♀️💥🪐💫
The Book Fairy brought each student a copy of “Fly Guy Presents Space”. Students took a virtual field trip to the Kennedy Space Center, read “Hedgie Blasts Off” by Jan Brett and made our own astronaut Hedgie, had Star Crunch for snack, worked on Solar System Sums, and worked on different STEM challenges. It was out of this world fun!

Throughout the week, our Eaglets discovered that you don’t need a cape to be a HERO! 🦸🏽‍♀️❤️

Our greatest superpowers are KINDNESS, COURAGE, CREATIVITY, TEAMWORK, and NEVER GIVING UP!

A huge shout-out to Ms. Musarskiy and our 2026–27 Safety Patrols! They had their second leadership meeting of the year today and chose whether to keep or change their morning support duties. They were also reminded that their grades should reflect the leadership they demonstrate at school. Our patrols are doing an amazing job modeling our schoolwide S.O.A.R. expectations: Safety, Ownership, Acceptance and Respect. We are proud of these servant leaders. Shine on, Eaglets!
