For our babies, a mirror becomes so much more than a reflection. It is an invitation to discover self, others, expressions, movement, and connection.

As they notice their own reflection and respond to the smiles and gestures of a friend, they begin exploring self-recognition and social connection—communicating in ways that go far beyond spoken words.

In the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we celebrate the Hundred Languages of Children—the many ways children express, connect, investigate, and make meaning of the world around them.
