Where is Benny?

Benny was spotted hanging out in our CC and Graphic Non-Fiction section during these last few days. Let’s show Benny how much we appreciate him by packing those shelves and logging our reading! He may be checking out the cool books, but he wants to know you're reading too. A Huge Wildcat Salute!

Remember, if you are reading, log it. It’s simple and every minute counts! We are currently sitting at 36th place on Beanstack, but we can do better than that.

We also want to give a massive shoutout to all of our incredible parent and student volunteers in the media center this week! You make this possible! And a big roar to Mr. Vierbickas and our amazing Wildcat family. You rock!

Hello everyone! We want to share some wonderful news and extend a huge congratulations to our talented 6th grader, Elora Shouse. This past Saturday, June 6th, Elora earned an Honorable Mention at The Dalí Museum’s 2026 Student Surrealist Art Exhibition! We couldn't be prouder to have her representing us as one of the OCPS Middle School winners.

We also want to give a massive shoutout to Elora's art teacher, Mr. Duckworth. His exceptional mentorship, guidance, and dedication played a huge role in helping her achieve this prestigious honor.

Huge shoutout to our amazing Wildcats for volunteering in the Media Center with Mr. Wright and Ms. Betancur during their summer break. We appreciate you so much! Can you spot Benny and his new friend Ava?

There were definitely a few tears and a lot of smiles as we watched our Wildcats take their final walk through the WSMS halls. We are so proud of the amazing young people they’ve become and can't wait to see them shine in high school.

Again, we owe a massive shout-out to the incredible Horizon High School drumline and color guard for bringing the energy and to our amazing families who cheered our students on from the sidelines. Thank you for partnering with us to make this day so special.
