It helps children build vocabulary and learn the sounds of letters in spoken language. As adults point to words while reading, children learn to read from left to right and see that letters together make words. While children listen to printed words become stories, they learn new things

Combination of indoor and outdoor activities this week! ✏️

Children's emergent literacy abilities can be developed through writing with them in a variety of ways, including through the development of their fine motor skills, conceptions of print, phonological awareness, phonics, and phonological awareness as well as their ability to create and explore texts.

Playing in the sand is great for strengthening muscles, improving hand-eye coordination, and honing motor skills. When your children master the right shovel grip, they will be using their fine motor abilities. When they try to raise a bucket of sand, their gross motor abilities are put to the test.

These are the type of activities we incorporate in our curriculum at McNeil's Preschool.
