Moore Magnet ES Moore School was established in 1951, and is located off Stratford Road near Thruway Shopping Center on Knollwood Street. Moore School was established in 1951.

The school is located off Stratford Road near Thruway Shopping Center on Knollwood Street. The school board designated Moore as a countywide magnet school in 1971 and the school became known as Moore Alternative School. As part the county's limited school choice plan implemented in 1999, Moore maintained its countywide magnet status while acquiring a residential component. Its name was changed to Moore Magnet Elementary School.

This week's Tuesday Together Tip: Use Medicaid to Its Fullest 💡

Does your child have NC Medicaid? You may be leaving money on the table.

Every Medicaid health plan covers the same core benefits, but each one also offers "added services" — and those extras can include things like help with extracurricular fees (think Scouts, sports, dance), school supplies, and other family supports. The catch: the list is different for every plan, and some benefits are only for members who qualify.

Two ways to find out what your family has:
📞 Call the Member Services number on the back of your child's card
💻 Compare added services by plan at ncmedicaidplans.gov

It takes one phone call, and it could cover an activity your student has been asking about all year.
