Winston-Salem State University has been selected to compete in the 2026 Toyota Chris Paul HBCU Classic!

The Rams open the tournament against Clark Atlanta University on Friday, Dec. 4th, at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C.

Hosted by the Chris Paul Family Foundation and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, this year's field also features Florida A&M, Grambling State, Hampton, Howard, Tennessee State, Virginia State, and West Virginia State.

And it's personal — CP3 is a WSSU alum through and through, born in Winston-Salem and forever a Ram at heart.

Dining services will continue to operate under normal schedules. Bottled water, hand sanitizer stations, and portable restroom facilities will remain available for residential students. Students living on campus will receive additional information and guidance directly from Housing and Residence Life as needed.

As a precaution, a Boil Water Advisory is in effect. Until the advisory is lifted, it is recommended that all water used for human consumption be boiled or that bottled water be used instead.
