Meet our Director Mrs. Emily Pritchard!

Some call me “The Baby Whisperer”…others call me Director, teacher, storyteller, professional snack negotiator, but around Little Stars, I’m simply Mrs. Emily!

I’m the Director of Little Stars Early Explorers Preschool, where I get to combine two of my favorite things: children and organized chaos.

With over 10 years in education, a degree in Education, and an Administrative License, I’ve spent years learning about children, child psychology, classrooms, teaching, and leadership. But more importantly, I’ve learned that children don’t need childhood to look like a worksheet. They need opportunities to wonder, pretend, investigate, create, move, get messy, ask a million questions, and just be little.

That’s the heart behind Little Stars Early Explorers.

I want our classrooms to be places where a child can turn a block into a telephone, a cardboard box into a rocket ship, and a simple puddle into the most exciting thing they’ve ever seen. Because when children are allowed to follow their curiosity, learning happens naturally.

When I’m not wearing my Mrs. Emily hat, I’m usually wearing my mom hat, soccer-coach hat, or “I’m just going to read one more chapter” hat.

I’m a wife and mom of two, and I love spending time with my family…especially our Friday nights. Our ideal Friday? Taco Bell or pizza, a good movie, and absolutely nowhere else to be.

I also happen to have my Pharmacy Technician license (because apparently one career was not enough), which means I can teach your child about colors, shapes, letters, and imagination…and I can probably tell you what aisle the bandages are on.

But underneath all of the degrees, licenses, lesson plans, soccer games, books, and Taco Bell runs is a deep love for children and the magic of childhood.

I believe childhood should be full of wonder.
I believe play is meaningful.
I believe curiosity should be encouraged.
And I believe every child deserves a place where they feel known, loved, and celebrated.

That is what I hope to create at Little Stars, one little explorer at a time.

Reminder!

There will be no preschool June 29–July 3 as we observe the Independence Day holiday. 🇺🇸

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and relaxing week with family and friends! With the upcoming heat wave, remember to stay cool, drink plenty of water, and take breaks in the shade if you're spending time outdoors. 💙

🇺🇸 This week we’re celebrating our Stars, Stripes & USA theme with a hands-on American flag craft! ❤️🤍💙

Our summer explorers are carefully gluing small pieces of paper onto their flags, strengthening their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, finger strength, and concentration one piece at a time.

Learning through play and creativity is one of our favorite ways to grow. We can’t wait to see each child’s unique masterpiece! ⭐
