Today, Saturday, September 19 you can catch our Moore Meerkats basketball team playing ball in the Leaders & Legends Elementary School Basketball Jamboree against QEA Athletic Department! The game will take place at 12pm at Atkins High School located at 3605 Old Greensboro Rd Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Admission is $5 per person. Concession will be available.

This week’s Tuesday Together Tip: Use Medicaid to Its Fullest 💡

Does your child have NC Medicaid? You may be leaving money on the table.

Every Medicaid health plan covers the same core benefits, but each one also offers “added services” — and those extras can include things like help with extracurricular fees (think Scouts, sports, dance), school supplies, and other family supports. The catch: the list is different for every plan, and some benefits are only for members who qualify.

Two ways to find out what your family has:
📞 Call the Member Services number on the back of your child’s card
💻 Compare added services by plan at ncmedicaidplans.gov

It takes one phone call, and it could cover an activity your student has been asking about all year.

Please join us for Growing Together Night where you can learn how to best support your student at home!

5:00-5:30 is an optional drop-in time. It is for 5th grade families to explore our magnet pathway middle schools AND anyone who would like support in connecting with important digital information through Infinite Campus. Report cards may not be printed this school year and you will need to be able to login to see your student’s grades online.

5:30-6:00 is a scheduled meeting for all families to learn about our status as a Title 1 school AND our first general PTA meeting for the school year. The meeting for upper and lower grades families is the same.

6:00-6:30 we invite you to go to your child’s classroom to get helpful hints and tips on how you and the teacher can best support your student as a team.

6:30-7:00 is the same presentation offered in the classrooms in case you have children in multiple grades. Also at this time, Ms. Kellie will host a parent information session about AIG/LIFT in the media center.

Book Blast begins today! All you have to do is invite 10+ friends and family members to earn some awesome prizes and a chance to win one of our Treasure Chests or an Epic Treasure Chest! It takes just 7 minutes TONIGHT. .

​The first 96 students to register and invite 10+ friends and family members will receive their treasure map prizes the very next day! Any student who qualifies after that will still receive their prizes with the book delivery.
