Summer is in full swing at Passport to Adventure! So far this summer, our young explorers have:

🎨 Crafted Thai temples, Carnival masks, and designed their own Thailand-style floating market
🗺️ Traveled through Southeast Asia and the Polynesian islands — learning about language, geography, culture, and tradition
🎶 Learned traditional dances, greetings in 4+ languages, and global games

Last week culminated in recreating the Songkran water festivals, super soaker style! Along the way, each week they’ve stamped their very own camp passports!

And we’re just getting started…

📍 We’re excited to announce our 2nd location in Indian Trail launches this Monday, July 7 — with South America kicking off a brand-new adventure!
Weekly themes to follow include Egypt, Tanzania, South Asia, and Japan 🇧🇷🇪🇬🇹🇿🇮🇳🇯🇵

Calling teachers, substitutes, childcare workers, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Guide for our summer enrichment program. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in educating and engaging participants through various activities designed to enhance their learning experience. This position requires strong integrity, leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

Facilitate educational activities and workshops that promote learning and personal growth.
Lead group discussions and encourage participation among students.
Implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of diverse learners.
Provide guidance and support to participants, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding program activities and participant progress.
Manage time efficiently to ensure all scheduled activities are completed within the program timeframe.
Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall program experience.
Skills

Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate participants effectively.
Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus!
Exceptional time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Proven customer service skills to address participant needs and concerns professionally.
Ability to educate others in a clear, engaging manner while adapting to different learning styles.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.

The first two weeks of 2016 Summer Camp at our new Winston-Salem location has been absolutely wonderful! Last week, we "traveled" to the Polynesian Islands, learned some Maori language, had a Hawaiian food tasting and watched some Rugby! This week, as we studied South America, we've Skyped with a Native of Brazil, picked up some Portuguese, created Chilean Rain sticks and took a field trip to a Martial Arts School to learn a few Brazilian jujitsu moves! Today, in conjunction with Rio 2016, we concluded our study on South America by having our very own Olympics! We are the Triad's 1st and ONLY Culture/Travel Adventure summer camp where each week through music, art projects, food, language, directed field trips and more, we travel to another part of the world and delve into different cultures!
