CMS 6th Orientation and 7/8 Open House!

Parents of Rising 6th Graders:

Please plan to attend 6th Orientation Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018 at 12:30 PM. You must attend with your child. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about CMS expectations, get your child's schedule and meet his/her teachers, get bus information, and more. Orientation will end no later than 3 PM.


Parents of Rising 7th and 8th Graders:

Please plan to attend Open House Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018 from 5:30-7:30 PM. This is a drop in session. Your child can get their schedule and meet his/her teachers. Also available will be bus information, schedule change requests, and PTSA information. 6th grade is also welcome to attend Open House if not able to attend Orientation.

On Wednesday, February 21st, CMS will be hosting a district Community Conversation in Clemmons Middle School's Media Center from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Superintendent Beverly Emory will be listening to your concerns and answering your questions about our school district. This is a wonderful opportunity to talk to our superintendent about what matters to you most. Hope you will come out to the Community Conversation on February 21st from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.!

Due to the weather and the uncertainty of Friday’s school schedule the CMS PTSA will be rescheduling the Teacher Hospitality Luncheon scheduled this Friday. We will schedule the luncheon for next Friday January 26th. We are sorry if this causes any inconvenience but due to the snow storm we felt it was better to reschedule incase school is cancelled or delayed.

We greatly appreciate everyone that has signed up to donate items or provide your delicious pot of Chili/Soup. Also, if you can still help setup, replenish or clean up please email me at [email protected] to confirm. We look forward to treating our teachers on the 26th with your help!

The CMS PTSA needs your help! We are treating our teachers to a Chili/Soup luncheon on January 19th, 2018. Items will need to be at school by 10 am. This is one of the Teachers favorite luncheons, and we cannot wait to treat them. Please look over the list for items needed. If you are able to help set up, replenish or clean up please email me @ [email protected]! If you are able to donate your delicious chili/soup please arrange to pick up your dishes at the end of day (Crockpot liners are amazing)!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our Teacher Holiday Treat. Please have your student drop any items off to the guidance office in the morning. I will pick up all donated items at 8:30 am. Thank you for supporting the CMS PTSA!

Many, many thanks to all of the students, staff and families for supporting our fall book fair. Your purchases and donations helped raise over $3,700 worth of new books for the Media Center!!
