On this MLK Day, we're proud to celebrate PTK alum Cordero Holmes.

Cordero, who is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in public service and public policy from the School of Public Affairs at the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions, spent three of ten years of incarceration in solitary, where he began rebuilding his life.

He enrolled at Rio Salado College, joined Phi Theta Kappa, served in leadership positions, earned scholarships and graduated with honors.

Last week, the city of Phoenix presented him with one of four Martin Luther King Jr. Living the Dream awards. Congratulations Cordero, we're of you!
