Wake Forest Army ROTC

Recap on the No Fear Battalion Military Ball on the 2nd of March 2024. Thank you to the military ball committee, including CDT Montle (MS4, S1), CDT Sabin (MS4, S5), and many more. Also, thank you to the catering, the beautiful photos from the Shore photographer at WFU, and thank you to our guest speaker for speaking to us about what we need to always remember throughout our career.

Today, we spoke to our TITLE IX are available on our campus wake and state university. Both schools mentioned where and who we should contact if there is a serious matter that happens with someone we know personally and/or people within our battalion. Also, we had the valuable opportunity to discuss the importance of the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program. It is crucial to have open and honest conversations about SHARP to raise awareness, prevent incidents of sexual harassment and assault, and support survivors. By speaking with experts, we gained valuable insights into recognizing, reporting, and addressing sexual misconduct within the military community. These discussions help create a culture of respect, accountability, and support, ensuring a safer and more inclusive environment for all individuals. In the end, it was great for our future leaders aware. Here is a message from LTC Flach.

Message from CDT Costello….
“ Hi everyone! My name is Abby Costello, and I am an MS3 cadet of the No Fear Battalion and a Wake Forest University student. My Thursdays are a great example of how we as cadets balance both ROTC and being a normal college student. I started out the day with PT, which was a 40 minute ability group run. After finishing up PT, I headed to our department to meet with the MS4’s and other MS3 leadership for a staff sync to discuss the upcoming weeks. Following the sync, I went over to Einstein’s in the Farrell School of Business to pick up a bagel with a fellow MS3 before class. I went back to my room, and changed into my OCP uniform for the day. Then I headed to my military science class, where we worked in teams to plan and brief an attack in preparation for the day’s lab. After military science, I walked past our beautiful chapel over to Greene Hall for my Cross Cultural psychology class. Once class was over, I went back to my room to prepare my assault pack for lab. I then headed over to Horizon’s Park, and got ready to execute the attack, where I got to be the RTO for the STX lane. After we completed the attack, we did a quick AAR before heading out for the night. Hope you enjoyed my day in the life as an ROTC student. No Fear!”

FTX, proved to be an extraordinary opportunity for all the cadets involved. It was a challenging experience that pushed each cadet to their limits, but in the end, they all exceeded expectations with their remarkable performance.

From the very beginning, the cadets approached FTX with a winning mindset. They understood that success would require dedication, perseverance, and a strong belief in their abilities. With this mindset, they were ready to tackle any obstacle that came their way.

The cadets demonstrated exceptional teamwork and camaraderie during FTX. They understood that their success relied not only on their individual efforts but also on their ability to work together as a cohesive unit. They supported and encouraged each other, pushing everyone to perform at their best.

In the end, FTX was not just about completing a series of tasks; it was about personal growth, self-discovery, and the realization of their full potential. The cadets emerged from this experience stronger, more confident, and ready to take on any challenge that came their way.

Today No Fear Ranger Challenge encompassed a variety of challenging events aimed at testing participants. The main objective of the Ranger Challenge Program is to push cadets through demanding mental and physical competitions, while also fostering leader development and team unity. Despite the presence of rain, our Ranger Challenge Cadets successfully completed a 2-mile task and represented our battalion admirably. We are extremely proud of the cadets who took part in this endeavor.
