I am beginning my 19th year in education and am passionate about helping students learn, grow, and reach their full potential. My background includes both early childhood and special education, and I value building strong partnerships with families to support every child's success.
Originally from the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York, I enjoy returning there whenever I can; especially to visit my Grandmothers, I love reading, traveling, and spending time with my two children, who are both in high school. I also serve as the Director of Children's Ministry at a local church in Winston-Salem, where I enjoy supporting children to grow their faith. I studied Early Childhood/Childhood & Exceptional Children Education at Keuka College located in New York State. I received my masters’ degree in Early Childhood Leadership, Policy and Advocacy from UNC Wilmington. I am also a Yoga Instructor.
I am excited to be part of the St. John's Lutheran school community and look forward to getting to know my students and their families while creating a positive, engaging learning environment

With a heart for nurturing young imaginations, Debbie Patterson serves as our TK–6th grade Art and Library teacher!

Her journey in education began in August 1987. She spent seven years with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System and the Sawtooth Center for Visual Arts Summer Art Honors program before finding her home at St. John’s.

A graduate of High Point University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education and a K-12 certification, Mrs. Patterson believes deeply that every child is born with an inherent gift for creativity. It is her greatest joy to foster that spark—and her students’ talents are often recognized with honors at the Carolina Classic Fair, including the prestigious Judges Choice Award!

Beyond the classroom and library, she finds her own inspiration as a devoted wife and a mother to two daughters.

Hello, my name is Holly Wilson. I am the kitchen manager, that provides hot nutritional lunches for your children. Cooking is something I love to do. Seeing the smiles on the children's faces every day at lunch makes me happy. God gave me this opportunity 8 years ago and has continued to guide me in this path. God's blessings that we have a great year.
