The Shakespeare Festival is a beloved tradition at Redeemer School, celebrating the playwright Charlotte Mason called "the daily bread of the intellectual life"!
Each year, the whole school studies a play from Shakespeare's repertoire in a developmentally appropriate way, creating handicrafts and artistic representations along with the study. In early May, parent volunteers transform the school grounds into a vibrant Shakespeare Festival, in which our lower school students each play a role. We then move into our own "Globe Theatre" to enjoy a middle school production of the play.
The student actors in Romeo & Juliet did an amazing job delivering their lines, acting their parts, and even performing stage combat! The student crew performed every aspect of behind-the-scenes work with professionalism and excellence, from A/V support to set design to makeup & costumes, and everything in between! Bravo!
