Congratulations to the 82 Senior Academy students who are on track to complete the program and earn their high school diplomas this June! These students attended their second Behind the Scenes career readiness field trip on Friday, where they learned about the many opportunities available to them, including direct acceptance into Forsyth Technical Community College. Thank you to our volunteer guest speakers from the local business community, Truliant Federal Credit Union for hosting during the morning, Texas Roadhouse for providing lunch, and JCPenney at Hanes Mall for hosting the afternoon, where students were extended a generous discount to use their $100 dress attire stipend to shop for business attire.
This experience highlights the power of strong community partnerships in workforce development, helping bridge the gap between education and employment by exposing students to real-world opportunities and support systems as they prepare for their next steps.
