Setting the Groove (STG) is a collective of students dedicated to developing their technique & artistry on their own time. You can find us in the studio during our allotted two hours/week, but more often you'll hear us from afar tapping on our own boards in front of school buildings and dorms on sunny days. STG has collaborated with other on-campus groups and departments such as the Intercultural Center and continues to reach out to other local dance groups. You'll run into us all over campus- we've been invited to perform at the Pit, the Joel, Hit the Bricks, Project Pumpkin, Campus Grounds, Generation Heart in the Ring Theater, the Black Student Alliance evening at the Barn, and the Spring Dance Showcase in Brendle Recital Hall alongside Wake's other dance crews.
