A week ago our Jim Shaw ACE Academy campers put their engineering skills to work at Innovation Quarter, where they designed and built robotic arms capable of dispensing water while learning the fundamentals of robotics, engineering, 3D Printing and automation. Check out the future innovators!

🚁🏥🦾 Day 3 was all about innovation in action!

Today, our Jim Shaw ACE Academy High School campers explored how technology is transforming the future of aviation and healthcare. We kicked off the day with the FAA, learning about aviation careers and the future of flight before heading out on two incredible field trips.

First stop: Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, where students witnessed a medical drone delivery and learned how drones are helping save lives by transporting critical medical supplies.

Then it was off to Innovation Quarter, where campers toured the RICOH 3D Printing Lab, explored cutting-edge manufacturing technology, and put their engineering skills to work by building their own robotic arms.

From aviation to healthcare to advanced manufacturing, today showed our students that the future belongs to innovators. 🚀
